VICTORIAN PUNCH
WASHINGTON DC / DUPONT CIRCLE

"My husband and I have been collecting art for a while, and we're always impressed with how Sightline 'gets us.' Sightline has helped to identify pieces for our home that interest both of us (no easy task!) and live harmoniously within the context of our overall collection. As a residential interior designer, I encourage my clients to 'start with art' — find pieces they love and build their environments accordingly. Sightline has worked with my clients to find those inspiring pieces time and time again. I consider Sightline an essential part of my design process."
— Washington, D.C. client
To enhance the contemporary art collection in her 1880s Victorian townhouse, this interior designer sought works that would provide visual punch but not compete with the historic bones of the space. For the upstairs den: a pair of photographs that records the same moment in time from two perspectives and a delicate, multi-media work awash in shades of white and gray. In the master bedroom: a bold painting with smooth surfaces that reflects organic and geometric elements.
